WiFi Butler Privacy Policy

WiFi Butler is a network utility app. It does not require an account or provide developer-operated cloud sync. This policy describes the app's use of network information and third-party services in the release build containing Google AdMob native ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).

Information used on your device

With the required Android permissions, the app reads your current WiFi connection and nearby access points, including SSID, BSSID, frequency, channel, signal strength, security type, IP address, gateway, DNS servers, and link rate. It uses this information to display network details, compare channels, and check connectivity. Android may require precise location permission for WiFi scan results. The app does not request background location permission or read GPS location history.

When you first open the Devices page or tap Refresh, the app checks discoverable devices and selected common TCP ports on your current private local network. It does not use this feature to scan public internet addresses. Device types are estimates, and devices that do not respond may not appear.

Local storage and deletion

The app stores discovered device IP addresses, first and most recent discovery times, and names you assign to devices in a local database. Language and appearance preferences are also stored on your device. The app does not upload these records to a developer-operated server. You can delete them by clearing the app's data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

Network requests and external services

Automatic connection checks include a DNS lookup for example.com and a connection attempt to your local gateway. DNS lookup, TCP connection checks, and Wake-on-LAN tools run when you choose to use them. If you open the router settings page, the app loads your current private gateway in an in-app browser. The router may use unencrypted HTTP; check your router's settings before entering sensitive information. WiFi Butler does not intentionally collect or store router login credentials.

If you confirm a speed test, the app opens Cloudflare Speed Test in an external browser. Cloudflare may receive your public IP address and test traffic under its privacy policy. WiFi Butler does not store speed-test results.

Advertising and privacy choices

The release build may show a Google AdMob native ad on the Settings and Tools page. Google Mobile Ads and UMP manage applicable advertising privacy choices. The app requests an ad only when UMP reports that ad requests are permitted. Where required, you can review or change your advertising choices from Settings.

Google's advertising services may process IP address, device identifiers, ad interactions, consent choices, and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. This third-party processing is separate from the locally stored WiFi and device records described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.

WiFi 管家由开发者提供，用于查看当前 WiFi、附近接入点、信道状态、局域网设备及执行网络工具。使用应用不需要账号。以下说明适用于包含 Google AdMob 原生广告及 User Messaging Platform 同意管理的正式构建。

本机读取与使用

获得系统授权后，应用读取当前网络及附近 WiFi 的 SSID、BSSID、频率、信道、信号强度、安全方式、IP 地址、网关、DNS 和连接速率，用于界面显示、信道分析与网络诊断。Android 可能要求精确位置权限才能提供 WiFi 扫描结果。应用不请求后台位置权限，也不读取 GPS 位置历史。

用户打开设备页或点击刷新后，应用会在当前私有局域网内探测设备和部分常用 TCP 端口。扫描只用于显示网络内可发现设备，不会扫描公共互联网地址。设备类型属于推测，未响应的设备可能无法出现。

本地保存与删除

应用在本机数据库保存已发现设备的 IP、首次与最近发现时间，以及用户设置的设备名称。主题、语言等偏好保存在本机。应用不提供账号或开发者自建云同步，不会将这些记录上传至开发者服务器。用户可在 Android 系统设置中清除应用数据，或卸载应用，以删除本地记录。

网络请求与第三方服务

自动网络体检会解析 example.com 检查 DNS，并尝试连接本地网关。仅在用户主动打开时，应用内路由器页面访问当前私有网关。路由器可能使用未加密的 HTTP 连接；输入敏感信息前请检查路由器设置。本应用不会主动收集或保存路由器登录凭据。点击并确认网速测试后，应用会在外部浏览器打开 Cloudflare Speed Test；该服务可能接收公网 IP 和测速请求，按照其隐私政策处理。应用不保存测速结果。Wake-on-LAN、DNS 查询及 TCP 检测由用户主动触发。

正式版在“设置与工具”页面提供 Google AdMob 原生广告。Google Mobile Ads 与 User Messaging Platform SDK 可能依据 Google 隐私政策处理设备标识符、IP 地址、广告互动、同意选择及相关技术数据，用于广告展示、衡量与防止滥用。应用会在每次启动时更新同意状态，并只在同意平台允许请求广告后加载广告；适用地区可通过设置中的“广告隐私选择”重新查看或修改选择。仅供开发测试的 debug 版本使用 Google 官方测试广告。
